Minutes Jun-14-2015

This is to provide the minutes of the June 14, 2015 regular meeting of the SoCal Falcons club held in So. Pasadena at Shakers Restaurant.

Club President Patrick Hall opened the meeting with welcome to new persons. There was a total of 13 persons attending the meeting.

1. The first item was an announcement by Patrick that he was trying to find an new location for the annual Dyno Day event. The shop that we
had used in the past had not responded to requests to schedule the event. When a location is determined the car dyno tests will be free
to club members and a bar-b-Que will be provided.

2. The next item was the reading of the minutes from the April meeting. Steve Tontz had prepared the minutes of that meeting but did not
bring a copy to read.

3. Patrick had not had time to prepare a financial statement or meeting agenda and this will be reported at the next meeting in September.

4. Under new business we had the following items:

  • Patrick will try for a Saturday in July to hold the Dyno Day event mentioned previously.
  • The Falcon Club of America Western Regional will be held on September 19 in Redwood City. Several club members are planning on attending.
  • The car show sponsored by IBEW will be held June 20 at the Rose Bowl. The cost is $10 to enter a car and this price includes food.
  • The annual Christmas/Holiday party will be held at Nino’s Ristorante in Long Beach on Saturday December 5 Steve will make reservations
    for 20 persons.
  • A tech day is planned for September sometime at the home of Steve Tontz in Long Beach. The plan is to replace the shocks in his ’65 Ranchero.
  • Patrick will do some research on finding a date for a club trip to the Nethercut Museum.

5. The next meeting will be held on August 2015 at Shakers Restaurant and will be chaired by Vice Presidnet Rich Banz or Secretary Steve Tontz as
Patrick will be on vacation.
